Caribbean Holidays As Honeymoons

A couple's honeymoon should be the most romantic trip of their life as they celebrate their love together. Where better, then, than on a Caribbean holiday. The surroundings are impeccably romantic - calm blue seas, warm tropical evenings, beautiful sunny days, incredible landscapes. The Caribbean could be perfectly designed for honeymooning couples, and offers everything you could want from this kind of trip.

Many hotels in the Caribbean are designed specifically with newlywed couples in mind. These resorts do not take family bookings, and as such provide the perfect romantic setting for your trip. The rooms are often designed with romance in mind, giving that extra touch to make your honeymoon special, and make you feel like you are living in luxury. With a little bit of research, you can easily find a quiet, uncrowded resort, suited to a secluded trip with your new spouse. Islands such as Anguilla and Antigua provide quiet beaches, perfect for quiet, relaxing and romantic days and nights on the beach.

Some couples will want to do something more on their honeymoon and spend it in activities, such as snorkelling, diving and surfing. In this case, an island such as Aruba or the British Virgin Islands (the sailing capital of the world) will be perfect for you. Here, you will be surrounded by the same stunning natural beauty as the rest of the Caribbean, but will be able to indulge in your favourite water activities, or try out a new sport for the first time with the guidance of an experienced instructor.

Other couples go the whole hog for their honeymoon and take a different kind of Caribbean holiday - the cruise. Such a cruise will generally take in a large part of the Caribbean, both eastern and western, and can be enjoyed in whatever level of luxury suits you and the amount you want to spend. Cruises often specialise in honeymoons and will provide romantic rooms stocked with rose petals, and special couples' spa treatments, such as massages. These are perfect for the couple who want to relax and take it easy, while still seeing as much as possible of the Caribbean. This might well be the best option for a honeymooning couple, and there are many tour operators out there who specialise in organising such trips, so it couldn't be simpler to arrange.

It is no surprise that so many couples are deciding on Caribbean holidays as their honeymoon. With such a romantic setting and such a wide variety of options, the Caribbean is the natural place to set your marriage off to the perfect start.

Create Your Own Dream Honeymoon Cruise Vacation

Hawaii and the Caribbean are popular choices for a honeymoon cruise vacation, especially for winter weddings. The main advantage of booking a honeymoon cruise to Hawaii or the Caribbean for your luxury honeymoon vacation is that with a cruise you get to see several of these fabulous islands, rather than just one.

The Honeymooner's Review Guide puts Hawaii as the number one destination for luxury honeymoons and the dramatic coastline, white sandy beaches and colourful Hawaiian culture weave their own spell in this idyllic honeymoon destination, making it a dream honeymoon to remember. A honeymoon cruise vacation to the Caribbean is equally appealing and for Europeans is a much shorter flight to Miami to embark. With guaranteed sunshine and a quiet beach in almost every port, a luxury cruise vacation is a great way to spend the first weeks of married life.

Booking a honeymoon voyage vacation is very easy using one of the honeymoon cruise packages. Many cruise lines also offer a wedding ceremony package. It is worth comparing the different options and choosing the best value for you. Some cruise lines offer all-inclusive honeymoon cruise vacations including romantic extras such as champagne in the cabin and a complimentary honeymoon gift. Carnival Cruises offer a complimentary wedding cake for those booking a honeymoon cruise vacation, along with flowers, chocolates and cabin decorations. However tables for two are pretty limited. Celebrity Cruises offers honeymoon cruise packages for an additional fee which includes breakfast in bed, champagne, souvenir engraved flutes, flowers, bathrobes and chocolates, making this a week-long dream honeymoon cruise vacation.

Holland America Line has so many honeymooners on board that it hosts a complimentary Honeymooners Party at sea and couples receive a honeymoon certificate. The package also includes flowers and a silver keepsake photograph frame. As you would expect from this specialist in luxury honeymoons, tables for two are guaranteed.

Although cruises typically have up to 3000 passengers on board, honeymooners can easily find their own quiet space. Upgrading your cabin may be part of certain honeymoon cruise packages. With your own private balcony, table and sun loungers, it is the perfect space to enjoy private dinners beneath the stars on room service, leisurely late breakfasts delivered to your cabin or a quiet place to read and sunbathe. Lounge bars have comfortable seating and during the day you can have the space almost to yourself. Days in port also mean you can enjoy the ship's pool in relative peace.

Another big plus on a honeymoon cruise vacation is the wonderful spa treatments available on board with some of the best views on the ship, but you need to book early. Enjoy a relaxing massage, or treat your loved one to his or her favourite beauty treatment as a surprise. A ship's spa has all the latest technology to provide deep facials, superb Swedish massages, hot stone treatments and reflexology. Expensive but worth it is the general consensus of opinion.

Days ashore on Caribbean islands are a great opportunity for a relaxing couples massage on the beach in a private cabana. The sea breeze, rustling palm leaves and soothing sounds of the gentle waves are all part of this blissful experience.

Wherever you choose to visit on your dream honeymoon cruise vacation it is sure to be a great start to a lifetime together.

Your honeymoon vacation is a very special time for the both of you and remember it will last several days longer than you actual wedding, so make you include this in your budget.

With all that being said, let's start on the first step of deciding which of the Caribbean honeymoon vacation packages is right for you. Before even looking at the Caribbean honeymoon vacation packages, I would try to narrow it down to exactly where it is you want to go and what you want to do there. What is it that you are looking for? Do you just want white sandy beaches, do you want some adventure (surfing, zip line, jet skiing, waterfalls), do you want a nightlife, or do you want privacy. These are just an example of things to consider. And remember each island is different, and all the Caribbean honeymoon vacation packages are different, so look and see what island fits your relationship the best.

In case you were not aware, here is a list of 10 of the most popular honeymoon spots in the Caribbean island area where you can get Caribbean honeymoon vacation packages.

1. Bahamas
2. Dominican Republic
3. Jamaica
4. Mexico
5. Puerto Rico
6. Aruba
7. Cayman Islands
8. Barbados
9. Turks and Caicos
10. Saint Lucia

Now after deciding what location is best for you, you need to start considering the various Caribbean honeymoon vacation packages. Every package is different and includes different things. Now keep in mind Caribbean honeymoon vacation packages have their pros and their cons. When I booked my honeymoon I did not use a Caribbean honeymoon vacation packages, instead I booked everything individually, which I'll explain why I did this shortly.

First let's start with the pros of getting Caribbean honeymoon vacation packages:

1. Everything you need is included in the package
2. You have a good idea of the cost of you vacation since everything is included
3. It simplifies the budgeting of your honeymoon
4. You will find other honeymooners who bought similar packages to share your experiences with.
5. You know everything you are getting

Now here are the cons of getting Caribbean honeymoon vacation packages:

1. If included in the packages, you will usually transportation to your hotel from the airport in a bus with many other people. These buses are usually pretty old and do not have a/c.
2. You will usually not receive the best tours or activities included in your packages.
3. Many packages do not include food unless it is an all-inclusive resort.
4. Depending on the package their might be an itinerary set, so are on their schedule.
5. And finally you can get everything much cheaper if you booked it individually.

Yes that is right you can actually save money by not buying a package. Now this is not true for everyone, because most people do not know how to search for hotels, airfare, etc to find the cheapest deals. Searching for your honeymoon could be a lot easier and cheaper than you think. In fact for my honeymoon I ended up paying about 65% of the price of the original Caribbean honeymoon vacation packages were going to buy, all we had all the same things. In fact what do you think the companies that are providing you with these packages are doing themselves? They buy each part of the vacation separately and they sell it to you as a package an increase the price. And they will usually include some small extras like a bottle of champagne, roses on the bed, or something of this sort which you could call the hotel and get on your own for much less.

So I know most of you are wondering, what is the right way to search to get the best price on your Caribbean honeymoon instead of overpaying for Caribbean honeymoon vacation packages. Well that truth is that most of the secrets I learned on how to save on honeymoon all came from a book I read a few months before my honeymoon. The book showed me how to get discounts that usually only travel agents know about. These secrets allowed me to get my honeymoon at 65% of the original price I would have paid. And what's even better is that I know use these secrets when I book any vacation, so now all my future vacations come out cheaper as well.

If you like to find out more about this book and learn the secrets to booking your honeymoon at a much cheaper rate click on the link below and read the area where it talks about the book My Airfare Secrets.
